Foreign families who arrive in the U.S. deserve something better than just more obstacles—they deserve the chance to meet their goals and set new ones, to make the opportunities they’ve dreamed of a reality. At iLearn Family Learning Center in Temple, Texas, we help primarily Hispanic families who are new to the U.S. learn the skills they need to live with dignity and respect so they can build the life they came here for.
By equipping individuals with hard and soft skills like language proficiency, social customs, and workplace etiquette, iLearn Family Learning Center empowers immigrants to advocate for themselves and their families while preparing them for sustained, continued success.
Our Services
iLearn Family Learning Center offers a range of services designed to help foreign individuals successfully integrate into American society. However, unlike other integration programs that teach only the basic skills for survival in a new country, iLearn Family Learning Center provides families and individuals with the tools to truly thrive. Our strengths-based approach to support is specifically designed to address the 4 key dimensions of integration:
- Structural, by helping you prepare for and navigate important areas like the job market, education system, and healthcare.
2. Cultural, by teaching culturally appropriate behaviors, attitudes, and languages for better, more confident assimilation.
3. Social, by creating a support network of other immigrants and connecting you with resources and opportunities in the community
4. Identification, by helping you discover a sense of belonging without losing your cultural heritage and identity.
At iLearn Family Learning Center, our high-quality, linguistically appropriate programming is led by certified professionals who have personally experienced the challenges of cultural integration into the U.S. Informed by proven strategies for successful assimilation and implemented by compassionate, culturally sensitive experts, our services help foreign individuals attain the skills required for self-sufficiency, social inclusion, and professional advancement.
Type of Classes
Individual
We offer individual classes tailored to your specific needs regardless of your current level (basic-advanced). We understand the difficulty ESOL tutees experience when placed in English classes with students at higher or lower level. We want to help you speak with confidence by bulding on your strengths and by concentrating on the areas were improvement is needed.
Group
In order to better serve you, our group classes are small and do not exceed four students per tutor. Group classes can be on any of the general subjects we teach ranging from table manners (etiquette) to language instruction; group members will be at the same level and will not be mixed with tutees at other levels. Get your friends and family into your group and get a group discount!
In Person
These classes take place at our tutoring center in Temple, TX. You can schedule your classes Monday-Saturday from 9 AM through 8 PM. Online
Online classes are conducted via teleconference and you can take them from the comfort of your home; don’t worry, we will teach you how to utilize the most popular video platforms prior to taking the courses of choice. Online courses do not exceed eight students at any given time.
